How Much Does SEO Cost in Pakistan? What to Expect in 2026
August 15, 2026
SEO pricing in Pakistan is confusing because there’s no standard. The same words — “monthly SEO package” — can mean anything from a few directory submissions to a full content and technical programme. The price range reflects that: Rs 15,000 to Rs 150,000+ per month, often without the proposal explaining what separates them.
This is a breakdown of what the money actually buys, what to watch out for, and how to judge whether a quote is reasonable for your business.
The three things SEO spend goes to
Every SEO engagement — regardless of price point — is paying for some combination of three things:
1. Technical work. Fixing how your site communicates with Google: page speed, crawlability, structured data, canonical tags, mobile rendering, Core Web Vitals. This is mostly a one-time investment that compounds over time. Once your site is technically clean, it stays clean unless something breaks it.
2. Content. New pages and posts that target keywords your customers are actually searching for. This is ongoing work. Google ranks pages, not websites — every new well-targeted page is another entry point from search.
3. Authority building. Getting other credible sites to link to yours. Google treats backlinks as votes of confidence. One link from a relevant Pakistani business publication does more than fifty from generic directories.
A cheap SEO package is usually all technical work (usually a one-off audit dressed as ongoing service) with no content and no real authority building. The results plateau in month two and don’t compound.
What Pakistani SEO packages actually look like
Rs 15,000–30,000/month
Typically: keyword tracking, basic on-page fixes (meta descriptions, alt text), and monthly reports. Little to no content creation. No genuine link building. Fine as a maintenance baseline if the technical work was already done — not a growth strategy.
Rs 35,000–70,000/month
Typically: 2–4 blog posts per month, ongoing technical monitoring, basic link outreach (usually local directories and niche submissions). This is where results start to compound if the content is genuinely targeted. Most small businesses in Lahore operate in this range.
Rs 75,000–150,000+/month
Typically: a full editorial calendar, targeted content in multiple formats, active digital PR and link acquisition, detailed conversion tracking. Appropriate for businesses where organic traffic is a primary revenue driver — e-commerce, professional services, high-volume B2B.
What’s not included in most packages (but should be)
Before signing anything, ask specifically whether these are included:
Keyword research. Not just “we’ll optimise for your industry” — a documented list of specific keywords being targeted, their monthly search volume in Pakistan, and which pages are targeting them.
Content you actually own. Some SEO providers publish content on their own platform, not yours. If the relationship ends, the content goes with them. Make sure any blog posts or pages created are published on your domain.
Reporting that shows traffic, not just rankings. Rankings fluctuate. What matters is whether organic sessions and leads are growing. A report that only shows “keyword moved from position 14 to position 9” is not a results report.
Technical audit before the work starts. If no one asks to see your site before quoting, they’re not scoping the work — they’re selling a template.
Red flags in Pakistani SEO proposals
“Guaranteed rankings in 30 days.” Google doesn’t work on a 30-day schedule for new content. Anyone guaranteeing Page 1 rankings in a specific timeframe either doesn’t know how search works or is planning to game it in ways that’ll eventually hurt you.
Link packages with volume claims. “500 backlinks for Rs 10,000” is a collection of spam directory submissions that does nothing and can trigger a Google penalty on your domain.
No mention of your competitors. Any serious SEO engagement starts with understanding what you’re competing against. If the proposal doesn’t reference the sites currently ranking for your target keywords, it wasn’t written for your business.
Reporting with no access to your GA4 or Search Console. If they can’t access your own analytics, they’re not measuring their own results against real data.
What good SEO for a Lahore business actually looks like
For a local service business in Lahore (web design, legal services, consulting, food, retail), the most effective SEO combines:
- A technically clean, fast-loading site with correct structured data
- 2–4 targeted blog posts per month, each aimed at a specific search query your customers are actually using
- A fully optimised Google Business Profile with real reviews
- Consistent mentions across relevant Pakistani business directories
- One or two quality links per month from relevant local or industry sources
That’s it. Done consistently for six to twelve months, this moves the needle more reliably than any “package” that front-loads a lot of one-time fixes and calls it done.
If you want to understand what this would look like for your specific business — what keywords make sense, what your competition looks like in search, what’s currently holding your site back — the discovery call is the right place to start. We’ll give you a clear picture before any proposal is written.
